Human Intelligence, also known as Informants, have been used by law enforcement, armies and governments for centuries. An Informant is an effective proactive intelligence gathering option. An Informant can be a great asset to an organization IF managed correctly.Does your organization provide Informant training necessary to be successful? Does your organization's Informant policy adhere to current standards?

Options

Having a good Informant working for you (or your agency) is a plus. Having a bad Informant working for you can be highly detrimental to your career and the agency.I provide various options about a Human Intelligence program:1) I conduct training at law enforcement agencies throughout the U.S. teaching various techniques on how to be successful when using Informants.2) I teach at various association conferences, teaching these same skills.3) I review Human Intelligence policies and assist in writing new ones, making sure your agencies' policy is up to industry standards. If you are interested in having me conduct training either at your department or at your conference, or you would like me to review your Human Intelligence policy, please send me an email at: [email protected].

I utilized my extensive investigative experience as a contract health care fraud investigator for CMS over the past eight years.I became a certified instructor for DEA in 1999, teaching the use and management of Informants to hundreds of law enforcement officers. I continue to teach the art of Identifying and Managing Informants. I am a published author on Human Intelligence, aka Informants How to Identify and Manage. I teach the use and management of human intelligence assets to local, state, and federal law enforcement officers. I also teach Risk Mitigation in Law Enforcement Operations such as search/arrest warrants, undercover operations, and street operations.
